Benefits of Ovarian Cancer Coaching

Coaching

Ovarian cancer coaching looks forward, empowering individuals with personalized guidance, education, and support throughout the cancer journey. An alternative to traditional counseling, this holistic approach addresses the physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of the experience. Through proactive strategies, coaching enhances well-being, clarifies life purpose, deepens meaning, and improves daily quality of life. Cancer coaches help clients set goals, navigate lifestyle changes, and balance medical challenges with life choices for greater clarity and confidence. By fostering a positive mindset and encouraging self-advocacy, cancer coaching helps individuals regain a sense of identity and resilience, empowering them to live fully despite their diagnosis.

  • How is coaching different than counseling?

Coaching uniquely addresses your vision of the future and your coach provides support for that vision through questioning, inquiry and encouragement. There is no delving into the past to uncover hidden motivations or family patterns. The focus is on your goals and how to reach them.

  • Can I pay for coaching with my insurance?

No, coaching services are not reimbursable through insurance. All coaching services are provided through private pay.

  • Is my coaching information kept confidential?

Yes, your coaching information is kept confidential by your coach, and you can stop sessions at any time.

  • Do we meet remotely or in person?

Currently, our team of coaches and counselors are meeting remotely only.

Benefits of Ovarian Cancer Counseling

Counseling

Ovarian cancer counseling provides mental health therapy and coping strategies for patients, survivors, and their families. Counseling treats anxiety, depression, trauma and fear by offering a safe space to express emotions and receive professional guidance. Counselors can assist with decision-making, treatment-related stress, and communications with loved ones. Additionally, they can provide cancer-related resources for managing physical and emotional side effects and improving overall well-being. By fostering resilience and a sense of control, cancer counseling enhances quality of life and helps individuals navigate the challenges of diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship with greater confidence.

  • How is counseling different than coaching?

Counseling takes an in-depth look at what is driving your issues from a perspective that includes both the past and the present. It includes addressing trauma, family dynamics and early childhood issues that may be impacting your ability to cope with an ovarian cancer diagnosis.

  • Can I pay for counseling with my insurance?

Yes! Since professional counseling/psychotherapy is considered a mental health treatment, your insurance may cover the costs. Check with your counselor to see if their practice accepts in-network insurance or if they can provide you a "Superbill" for  insurance reimbursement.

  • Can I stop counseling at any time?

While your decision to engage in counseling/psychotherapy is entirely up to you, it is usually best to make a commitment with your counselor to complete a treatment plan and a course of several weeks of sessions in order to track progress and implement improvement.

  • Do we meeting remotely or in person?

Currently our team of coaches and counselors are meeting remotely only.
